ornate feet slip on like regular elbows whereas finished feet have a extended leg so that the seam may be hidden under a downspout bracket.. This is a three piece unit, pure copper, soldered, shaped and then electoplated to hide the solder. These are handcrafted from standard European downspout material from Germany and Italy, and each one has its own character. We use seamless downspout and smooth elbows (18 ounce copper ) to shape these decorative bottoms. Extensively soldered and sanded the lip of this foot is then heated and hammered to produce a flare.
